Homemade Almond Milk

I drink almond milk on a daily basis, so I go through it pretty quickly.
To save money, I decided to whip up a batch of my own completely raw and unprocessed milk.

It's higher in fat and calories than store-bought nut milk, but the fats are "good" and heart healthy.

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 5 cups filtered water
*Note: you can increase the water to almond ratio if you want a milk that is lower in fat/calories

  • Place almonds in about a cup of water and leave in fridge to soak {about 12-24 hours}
  • Once soaked, add almonds and 4 cups of water to blender or food processor
  • Mix on high speed for 60-90 seconds {a little less if using a food processor}
  • Pour milk through strainer
  • Store milk in fridge {along with leftover almond meal, if you wish}
